The Wankel engine is an internal combustion rotary engine that uses the rotary motion of a triangular shape rotor mounted in an elliptical-shaped chamber to transform the thermal energy into rotary motion. The Wankel engine is also known as a rotary because the rotor is the most important main part of the engine that moves in a spinning motion.
